The Elders Real Estate division navigated its way through challenging seasonal, market and credit conditions to see annual gross margin growth contribution achieved for the fifth year in a row.
The ‘Alexander Lang’ Team of the Year Award is presented to an Elders team that exemplifies the company’s core values of innovation, teamwork, accountability, customer focus and integrity. Recipients are recognised for their ability to drive safety culture and deliver financial and operational achievements.
Elders General Manager Real Estate Tom Russo said he was extremely proud of what his team and the broader Elders real estate network achieved in 2019.
“Our portfolio management strategy, focussing on diversification across geographies and sub-products, has once again delivered growth notwithstanding very challenging residential property markets and seasonal conditions in the farmland agency space,” Mr Russo said.
“This also reflects the robustness of the broader Elders business, which adopts the same strategy across our other product offerings.”
The award comes on the back of Elders Real Estate recently winning the prestigious Canstar Blue award for the most satisfied customers in Australia, topping all categories including communication, problem resolution, knowledge, advice and overall satisfaction.
“We have invested heavily in business improvements to build a strong retention and attraction proposition for high performing agents. Our focus has been on brand enhancement, digital strategy and lead generation,” Mr Russo said.
The power of the Elders network has been pivotal to the Real Estate Team in 2019, providing a strategic advantage in its farmland agency business given Elders’ position as a trusted adviser to farmland owners across multiple other products and services.
However, it was the calibre of people in the Real Estate Team that ultimately made 2019 so successful.
“We have the best team of ‘in-country’ rural real estate professionals with deep understandings of their local markets,” Mr Russo said.
“In addition, we have a highly capable team of capital city executives who are performing extremely well in the investment scale farmland segment.”
