For the second year running, Elders Real Estate is gearing up to launch the Elders Give It Christmas Appeal, which encourages community impact across Australia.
The initiative involves Elders Real Estate offices partnering with a charity, to support their giving efforts over the Christmas period. Offices are encouraged to host fundraisers, food donation drives, volunteer days, and more, all in the spirit of bringing some Christmas cheer to the less fortunate over the holiday season.
Elders Real Estate’s office in Robe, South Australia has run a giving tree for the past seven years and is now proud to join the national appeal.
Branch manager Em Vasek said her office is proud to partner with the Inter-Church Council of Kingston SE and Robe, supporting the invaluable work they do to help less fortunate families in the community.
“Each year, we set up a wish tree in both our Robe and Kingston SE branches, running the campaign for approximately eight weeks. During this time, community members are invited to donate new, unwrapped gifts to place under the tree,” Em said.
“On average, we collect over 100 gifts each year for the organisation, and we couldn’t do it without the generosity of our incredible community. Even the local Robe Council has replaced their office Kris Kringle with donations to our wish tree, further supporting this important cause.”
Elders General Manager Residential Real Estate and Brand Belinda Connor said the annual appeal came about as a way to deepen Elders Real Estate’s connection to the communities in which offices are located.
“We are really proud that Elders has a long-running legacy of community impact and involvement, but with that comes a responsibility to continually build on it,” Belinda said.
“We are so pleased that the Elders Christmas Appeal is kicking off for the second year running, to enable Elders Real Estate offices to give back to their local communities over the festive season.”
The Christmas Appeal is one part of Elders’ Give It portfolio, which covers a suite of donations and community partnerships. It also includes the Community Giving Project, run for the first time in 2024, which awards grants to rural and regional community organisations with long-term, sustainable impact. Registrations of interest in the Community Giving Project are now open, and applications will be accepted for the 2025 round in March.
