An historic town on the banks of the beautiful Manning River, Taree has long been known as the vibrant centre of the Manning Valley.
As the major service town for the region, Taree has all the facilities, accommodation, restaurants and cafes, farmers markers and activities required, all while being encompassed by the stunning natural surrounds for which this region is renowned for.
Having established the business from scratch back in 2006, Elders Taree Director, Troy Loretan, has seen an incredible amount of growth and development in a place that now boasts a population of over 26,000 people.
Mr Loretan said when he first opened the office, it ran alongside an Elders Insurance and Merchandise operation, with most believing the new real estate business only sold farms.
“The Elders brand already had a presence in the area when we got up and going which really helped us out,” Mr Loretan explained.
“Because this was mostly a rural region, a lot people thought we were only selling farms but that really isn’t the case. While hobby farms and large lifestyle properties certainly form part of what we offer, 80-85% of our listings are straight residential units, homes, vacant blocks or acreage.”
Located at 199 Victoria Street in Taree, Elders Real Estate is situated in a high profile position right in the heart of town – providing the perfect vantage point to observe the incredible amount of change this developing region has undergone over the years.
“We’ve had quite a few new housing subdivisions created and built on which has brought a lot of people to the region,” Mr Loretan explained.
“This was especially evident through the Covid years where a lot of Sydney people in particular, sought that ‘tree change’. A lot of what we’re doing now is selling to local buyers who are upgrading to those bigger lifestyle properties.”
Mr Loretan said, along with their 7 person strong residential sales and administration team, their property management arm had seen exponential organic growth over the years.
“We’ve now got 5 staff handling a significant property management portfolio of over 400 properties.
“Overall we’ve had a great start to the year with January, February, March and April all recording fantastic results. We believe that will continue throughout 2024,” he added.
