Last week, 90 leaders and business owners from across the Elders Real Estate network came together in Townsville for two days of inspiring activities and networking opportunities.
The event was a valuable opportunity to motivate and energise the cohort, with attendees including real estate or property management business owners, as well as the highest performers from across the Elders network.
Guests had the incredible opportunity to listen to renowned speakers including Dr Richard Harris OAM, Sherrie Storor, Dom Thompson from Macquarie Bank, and Gavin Cooper from the North Queensland Cowboys. Sessions hosted by Elders leaders were also held to share insights and experiences, offering invaluable perspectives on navigating challenges and seizing opportunities in today’s dynamic environment.
Andrew Williams, licensee and owner at Elders Real Estate Warwick attended the conference, aptly named ‘INSPIRE 2024’, and said the event was a great opportunity to get together and listen to some phenomenal speakers.
“The conference has provided a wonderful opportunity to catch up, and see the camaraderie and culture on display. It has been wonderful to take time out of the business to focus on the business,” Andrew said.
“I have been part of the Elders Real Estate network coming up 30 years, and it is honestly like a family to me. We have a great culture, and there is always someone available to support, it’s very special.”
The conference was capped off with a ‘Bikes for Tykes’ style exercise, which included trust and communication activities, followed by a race to assemble bikes. The bikes were then given to local children in foster care, who were able to attend on the day. The group of agents then banded together in an impromptu auction to raise additional funds. All in all, $6800 was raised and eight children received a brand-new bike.
Rebecca Shepheard, licensee and principal at Elders Real Estate Batemans Bay, said it was her favourite part of the two-day event.
“Having the opportunity to integrate with all the other team members while building the bikes, and then seeing the joy on those children’s faces when they were told the bikes were for them to keep, was the best feeling and it still gives me goosebumps just talking about it,” Rebecca said.
Elders General Manager Residential Real Estate and Brand Belinda Connor said the conference was a fantastic opportunity for the group to catch up and take part in some fun, while also discussing emerging trends, and enabling the team to learn from their like-minded peers across the country.
“As the Elders Real Estate brand and network continues to strengthen, our INSPIRE 2024 conference was an exciting opportunity to motivate our leaders as we move into the spring selling season,” Belinda said.
“The last two years have been pivotal for our network, so we were pleased to take this opportunity to say thank you to those who have helped drive our achievements and growth.”
